Used Jimny wanted

Hi All,

I'm looking to purchase my first Jimny done my research and now ready to buy.
I'm based in the Northwest (Liverpool) but willing to travel. I'm not looking for a project just something that I can use day to day.
Would pretty much consider anything as long as it was in reliable condition.

How much are you looking to spend?

8-10k max but obviously doesn't have to be that much.

You should have a fair bit of choice at that.

What sort of year are you looking for?

I live Wigan ish and got mine from Wyke motors, he always has a good selection 15-20 Jims.

Yes seen him on web there's also Cotswold Jimnys who has loads.
They seem to vary so much in price. I've seen one in a traders in Liverpool on eBay £2400 for 06 plate 97k miles also there's a 13 plate in a Nissan dealer that's an auto with 22k miles for £10k.

Wyke have a fast changing stock, i searched around the Northwest for a couple of months before going to Wyke.
Knocked him £400 off his asking price along with almost new tyres and a rear wheel cover for cash, possibly could have dropped him further but i was quite happy with the Jimny, especially as it was virtually rust free.....oh and a new backbox as well.

That's interesting if he's up for a deal. How much was yours up for originally?

My Jimny was originally up for sale at £4395, 04reg at 31,000 miles.
I looked at a couple, but the rust to the under carriage put me off them , i wasn't overly keen on the one i eventually bought until i looked under the back end, as i said it was virtually rust free and a one woman owner and i doubt it had ever been off road.
Haggled with Wyke salesman who i think was the owner and got it for £4,000 cash deal.
I am now very happy with the car and the deal.

I just hate the 3 spoke alloys with a passion and can't wait to wear the tyres out so i can get shut of them.
