Trying to find some repeatability as it does not happen every time.
It does repeat if:-
I go to the forum (logged out) after a break in time.
Recent topics takes me to page 1
Enter any topic on page 1
Exit via Recent Topics
You are returned to page 2

It never used to do this, but it's not the end of the world.
