Like this. Ok it's maybe a little less elegant but it saves people from missing the additional information if it edited into a post they have already read. Which in turn means not having to read each thread from the beginning every time in case something has been added.

If you get a timeout message then try going back to the last post you viewed, select reply from the drop down menu under the post and magically all your typing should re-appear

2. You can only edit a post if it is the last post in a thread ie. No one has replied to that post
3. You have 1 hour "typing" time to actually type in the edit
