After much thought I am going to go with KAM set up for the rear as I am going to put a rear disc conversion at the same time too. KAM = many benifits new bearings replaceable half shafts removable flanges for ease of bearing changes Nuff said :woohoo:

I will probably go with KAM to. I think even with a great price for the ARB it will still be cheaper going with KAM. Plus its not like because they are cheaper they are worse, far from it! The benefits you mention sum it up realy. The only possible downside i can think of is the modification needed to the axle, but then they can do that for you if you want. I surpose its a matter of choice realy. Both makes are great products.

I didnt know, but is there an issue with the arbs for changing half shafts/bearings etc. I thought the arb units were the best

we have an arb in our front diff and the half shafts, bearings etc come out the same as with a standard diff
ARBs are designed to be tough enough that you will always break a halfshaft before breaking the ARB
to be honest with a rear locker we very rarely use the front locker as you have to use it in a straight line else if you apply lock it will break a halfshaft
We use it mainly on axle twisters up steep hills with a loose surface on a straight climb - if you've come to a standstill on wet clay it will just mean you spin both front wheels
99% of the time the rear locker, rocklobster and special tracks do the job - we just need more pooowwweeerrr as Clarkson would say
