Black Jimny's don't get stuck!
Forum troubles was created by mcjimny
I can't use smileys in posts and i can't get the usermap to work still. If i open the page it comes up and it has a link to open the map, i click this and it brings up a blank box and nothing else happens.
I've tried accessing the forum settings in my profile but it doesn't allow me as i presume somehow its switched off smileys.
I've deleted history and cookies and therefore exhausted my knowledge of all things interweb and forum like!

Not of much help but, mine did exactly that a few months ago. No smileys or able to update, alter my profile details etc etc.
Tried numerous ways, as you have, to correct the problem but nothing worked.
Then as in a magic, mystical story kind of way, the site suddenly started to do as it was told.
I could alter my 'profile' details and use smileys.
So, for me, it was just a waiting game.

Same here no smileys or members map. If i try to look at the map i just get a small white box at the top centre of the screen with a spinning disc as if it's trying to load up but it doesn't.

Try pressing F5 or Alt-F5 within the browser.
Which browser and version are you using?
Also, if you are using the system through work then the "Usermap" could be blocked as its a Google service.

the open map link doesn't seem to work - if you get the world up just zoom in and then you can see where every one is
hope this helps
