Hazards work… no indicators…

I’m mystified! The flasher relay works as the hazards work. The indicator switch works bridging the connections together. The wires from the switch to the turn signals can be used to make the lights light up.

So clearly the green wire comes in from the relay. What the hell switches it on tho?

The answer as determined mid walk to the pub is that the green line from the flasher is always live and it is enabled by connection a load.

So the question then becomes why does a bridge wire not work. And the hazards do.

Are the indicators only live with the ignition on? Vs the hazards that are always live?

Can some one check?

Certainly on all my more recent vehicles they have always had permanent hazard lights and ignition direction flashers.
