Some pics :) ( Since Gaz was moaning....even tho HE didnt take pics of his ARB :P lol )
- The wierdo in the funny hat hoovering is the wife :D
Found a lot of small chips/rust bits starting to form when detailing, I will have to give her a good claying and seal all the spots up before they get worse.....and rub down / spray the petrol cap sometime soon.
Ohhhh, and a pic of the heat shield.... I cant remember if I posted it before and Im on GPRS internet so took me a day just to open this page lol









Any comments welcome..... and DONT hastle me tyre shining the tyres lol, they were in such a bad state they needed it.... and yes I know.... its a 4x4 :P

Well took the jimny into the garage today to take off the petrol cap since its rusted so bad it looks like its going to fall to bits soon :(
Tried to take it off...... the 2 screws were solid so just rubbed it down and hand painted with black hammerite in situe :D
I will post pics sometime, hopefully today..... might have to email martin with them again since i have slow internet here :(

lol, the cleaning pics were ages ago.... she's muddy now :)
petrol cap looks ruff ( Adam style lol )
but at least it will stop it rusting again :)
I will go take a pic in a while once its dried :)

Well I was unhappy with the finish the hand brused petrol cap left..... so I rubbed it all down today and started again...... with spray paint ( black lol )
Left just the same kind of finish.... wish i hadnt bothered tbh.
I will upload photos one day......
Also someone elses jimny was juddering at certain revs - mine was doing the same so I looked underneith. I found the backbox was able to bang against the bit above the right hand eye. I stuck a jubilee clip through the eye and around the exhaust ( as a test to see if it deffinately was this banging ) and it stopped banging :)
I'm not sure of a more permanent solution, has anyone come accross this before ?

try the jimny breakers on ebay for a new flap, bet there will be some one breaking a green one - sorry I forgot - that costs money :laugh:

Nice part of the world Mate, i looked into moving near Avimore some years
back , not that far south from you, but lack of work in the area but a grinding
hault to that, but plan to visit that corner of Scotland again soon...so keep the kettle on lol

lol, there is a green one on ebay..... they wanted £15 tho! lol
Or there was grove green paint.... £20!!!!!!

Shame its not actually my house..... the plot out the backs mine, house is my folks but I am living here a lot of the time ( flat isnt selling :( and folks in italy for 6 weeks :D ) ---- ohhhh, and the workshops contents are mine :D
