1. Bilt Hamber Auto Clay Medium (200g) used with water £13.70
2. Meguiar's Ultimate Compound £9.01
3. Soft foam applicator pads (extravagant not necessary)
4. had some autoglym super resin polish from an old gift-set £00.00
I was a bit sceptical on the clay (never used it before)
anyway used the clay on the bonnet but it didn't seam to do much, just a little reddy brown deposit removed, and it took 4-ever (sigh) so didn't use it on the rest and went straight on with the Meguiar's.
I'm blown away .....
defo more glass-like after using clay ... think it didn't appear to do much as there was no wax or any protection at all on the paint
.. but that Meguiar's is awesome
.... and the resin polish effortless to use and gives a fantastic gloss
not sure if the images show how good it is, but almost all scratches are gone and I can see my face in the paintwork ............ blown away with the results ....
I'm converted

To note though, get a wax over the paintwork - the polish is just that, it doesnt offer as good protection as finishing wax. ValetPro House Wax was my go to when I gave a sh*t about shiny black paint
You need one of these!!! ... Not a 2013 one tho

Clay does a good job & as you have found once wax is applied the results speak for themselves.
Nice bit protection ready for the winter elements .............
