As the weather was due to change in November and my MOT was looming, i ignored advice that i had learned from this site to not use 7mm drive shaft seals when doing the king pins, the king pins got me through the MOT but the drive shaft seal was leaking like a tap.
So today with work being slack and a dry day forecast i stripped it down again, repacked the bearings and CV joint and fitted the correct 9mm seal.
I then took it for a 30 mile drive and all is dry again.
In summary don't ignore the good advice from the site members and fit 9mm seals.

Its a good man that can openly admit to a mistake; but a great man that openly admit to a mistake and then uses that experience to warn others.
Good for you!
and thank you for posting this experience.
