After the mot in January I ordered a brake kit. Let it sit on the shelf till Monday gone. First proper chance to install. It's for a Patrol. Not a jimny. Same code slightly different prefix. Rang suppliers and yes they messed up and will swap yesterday. Nothing. Ring them again and out of stock at ebc. 2 months lead time. My pads are closer to the disks than a very close thing. Need to go to Stafford on Sunday. Grrrrrrr. Fortunately I don't throw stuff away and have a used set of pads to buy me some time on my unhappy discs.... Nothing is ever simple.

I feel your pain. Not an incorrectly delivered part - a fault on my behalf. Clutch cable is very stiff, so got a replacement from Mr Priestly. Put to one side till I had time to sort, then threw the box in recycling instead of an empty one!

I had to wait from October until mid December to find EBC in stock.
I have a used set of pads with lots of material left on them, they were going to the tip but you can have them if you want? They are not EBC, not sure who's make but they look alright. The old discs, still not gone to the tip weren't very good.
I can pop them in the post if you want, but they might not go until tomorrow so might not arrive until Saturday or Monday.

So it would appear that true to form I have remedied this situation by throwing even more money at it and getting something even more exotic. Black Diamond here we come. I will reply once I have them fitted.

Interesting! Well I have the black diamond and predator fitted and while they are yet to fully bed in they are very keen but not grabby, they also feel to have better modulation. If the ebc are night and day to standard pagid/blueprint these black diamond are an obvious improvement again. I'm tempted to pay for a run on a set of brake rolls for an empirical figure once they are fully bedded in.
