Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section....l've had my 2004Jimny Mode for nearly a year now,and although l only use it as a dog kennel on wheels it's been brilliant and very reliable..However,if anything does go wrong with it I'm unsure where I'd take it for repair..l believe in taking cars to people that really know about that particular type of car,but not with main dealer prices.l'm based near junc26 of the M1 in Nottinghamshire.ls there anyone in my area that l could try when the time comes..Thanks.
1st's 1st and 2nds nowhere...

Sorry nobody has replied. Any members in the area you mention haven't read your post yet. But, a lot who have no idea have. Myself included:cheer:
2012 Jimny Black. Totally standard (except for rear seat removal mod).

maybe google some garages in your area you could ring and chat with them sound them out to see if they have worked on any jimny's or 4x4 in general, if they have a feedback section read through the replies see what people say about them
good luck but hope you won't need one for a long time

If you are able to use tools and the like you can get access to the manuals through this site and any queries then just ask. There are loads of people on here who do help.

It is rare but it does happen that I call in outside help. One source I have never used in which I have left the motor with them for work (though I have used them for close up advice) is my MoT garage but I have them in my sights as a last resort situation as I have seen how they operate over many years. Also I have a few mobile mechanics I trust and that leads me to my answer; if I need outside help I get a mobile mechanic who does the work here at home. How you find one is another story, I have tried the interweb and have found only one I would ever recommend to others out of about 3 in 20 years. My main source came from asking at a local franchise for a recommendation of a mobile mechanic.
Do it right - use Hammerite
