I reckon the Jimny stood up well in these tests, with 5 Star driver rating and 6 star passenger rating.

I don't think there has been much change. My 2000 Jimny ragtop has airbags.

With the front end crash, would it be the chassis that takes most of the hit?

Is a ladder chassis stronger than a monocoque body and chassis combined?

I dont think that the ladder chassis is better in crashes. That's why has stopped producing it.

In a crash the chassis from the cabin san be seperated. 8 bolts keep them together.

Monocoque has better reactions in an accident because is also lighter than ladder chassis.

Ladder ch. is better for off-road.
