Noise when steering

Hi guys, I was driving my jimny today and realised when i'm steering there is a knocking noise coming from the axle somewhere which is then felt through the steering wheel. This only happens occasionally but is very concerning . Has anyone got any ideas on what it could be? Cheers

Could be a panard arm bush as when you steer it keeps axle centered but will have movement if worn causing a noise and feeling

Thanks for replying Adam, whats the best way to check if it is a panhard bush. I've also been reading up on the forum and it suggests it could be a cv joint. I need to sort it out soon because I use the jimny daily for work.

if its a cv usually on lock it will 'click' while moving.to test panard rod bush pushfront end sideways and if you hear a noise its the bus moving most likely

Hi Adam, just to let you know I jacked the jimny last week and pushed and pulled here and there and noticed that the stabiliser links were slightly loose. After tightening these I then went over all the nuts and bolts tightening as I went and also one bolt on the pan hard rod was loose too. After I had tightened everything I then took her out for a spin and there are no more noises. Happy days.
