drunk in a bar who has alienated his family and has done this for months but it turns out later in the film to be a ruse in order to eventually deal with bad guys who may be gone for a Chinese.

I have a list of all the films I have watched since about 1980.
I went through my list going back to about 2012.
Problem is that the title tells me nothing.

It isn't Hummingbird. I actually bought it a few months ago but the plot is very different in the film I want to find. For all I know it could be a Matt Damon film. I actually don't think it's Statham.
Half way through the film the cop/fed/agent/whatever does reveal to his relatives that he was working undercover.
