Hi guys/gals

Been reading the forum for a while now without signing up (boo).
I bought jim boy a year ago after drowning my Pajero in a puddle green laning.
I stupidly went out to the same location a week after getting jim boy and attempted to pull out a very stuck defender... this resulted in me losing ALL of my ‘tie down/recovery points’ ripping them off or bending them beyond recognition.
Jim boy Calloway has:
2” suspension lift
Big wheels tyres
Snorkel
I have steel bumpers from an sj to fit
And I want to fit:
Under guards
Front jimmy bits recovery points ordered
Cab radio
Lights

I am in west Essex try to get out and do lanes as much as I can, we are out this Sunday 19th July in Essex if anybody is in the area You are More then welcome to join in More the merrier.

Anyways any advice is always appreciated

Alfie

Years ago in the previous millenium, I did some green lanes out Colchester / Chelmsford. It was by a watermill. There was a ford crossing. Straight across was deep, around a small island in the stream was shallower. What a lane & what a crossing. Never found it again.

Looking for a nice clean and straight LHD Jimny..... Not any more.
Got one that seems to have been magnatized and driven through the "Big Jimny Bits" parts stores too quickly so it missed a few items.

Thought I would post up a few photos of the damage to the chassis, hope this stands as a reminder to get good recovery points from day one,
Now going to make something to fit inside chassis rail as recovery, 2x 8 mm bars should do itI feel, one inside one outside chassis welded and bolted through
Unless anyone else has had a better idea and dealt with this in the past??
Will update when I have done fronts too

I'm not very familiar with the Gen3 Jimny. Were those the factory tie down points or aftermarket recovery points that got mangled?

Definitely factory ones. They are made of tin foil.
