Hi, If you don't have any moral concerns I prefer a cage. They are quick to fit and remove (collapsible) the dog is safe and if you're stopped in warm weather you can open the back door. Chris

Another vote for a suitable sized cage. Unless you have something like a Burmese mountain dog or a Great Dane at which point you may want to consider a bigger car.

Hi Chris, I second that suggestion for Driver/Pet safety...My Parents came to visit many years ago in Dad's MKIV Capri with 'Dexter' a crazy Dobermann..As they were driving away, I saw Dexter running around the inside of the car..on my Mum's lap, the Parcel shelf and actually saw him ON The DASH!
Any Moral concerns will soon evaporate if you refer to it as a 'crate' btw...
