I posted the instructions with pictures on the “how do we fit reversing camera etc on gen4” thread Andy. Can’t find it now, is there anyway we can get a sticky/permanent location for things like this?

EDIT - found it now ha.

Cue more gen4 owners appearing asking for help with things like this.

Agreed Ash,

A sticky/permanent place for instructional stuff would be ideal.

The best place for things like that is the wiki like gadget says. Keeps it neat.

Arrrggjhhhhhhhh!! Im under the jim as i type, i canny push the passenger side rear lamp out. Ive taken off the 3 bolts, im phshin on the threads but it wont budge. Any minute now im getting my torque wrench out and going full retard. Help!!

No worries i did it. Your instructions missed one little point, there is a tiny little retaining clip which needs to be pinched. Unless that is on just mine.

Sorry Andy aye that’s right there’s a wee clip to squeeze, I thought that would be common sense though ;) ha!

Looking good, Ash. :)

What like for noise levels, handling, etc, with the box fitted?

Steve.

Cheers Steve. Can’t notice any deterioration in noise or handling as of yet. Will know for sure when I complete the 700 odd miles trip starting next weekend.

NC500 so far has been an absolute blast, the scenery and drive is incredible. Little home-made awning is holding up nicely too.

Averaging about 38mpg with a fully loaded roof box and the boot packed to the hilt so I’m pretty pleased with that. Haven’t noticed a deterioration in road noise (tunes are always blaring anyways ;)). Can certainly feel the increased weight when navigating hairpins though.
