No worries i did it. Your instructions missed one little point, there is a tiny little retaining clip which needs to be pinched. Unless that is on just mine.

Sorry Andy aye that’s right there’s a wee clip to squeeze, I thought that would be common sense though ha!

Averaging about 38mpg with a fully loaded roof box and the boot packed to the hilt so I’m pretty pleased with that. Haven’t noticed a deterioration in road noise (tunes are always blaring anyways ). Can certainly feel the increased weight when navigating hairpins though.
