Hey rather than keep just asking questions on here I thought I'd show you my pile.
It's an 02 plate o2 ragtop. Have done a fair few bits so far:
Welded the floor!
2" black raptor lift
Wind deflectors
Manual locking hubs
Uprated headlamps
Wheel spacers
New mid and rear exhaust box
Front pads
Trail Gear HD halfshafts and cv's
Trail Safe uprated swivel seals
Kingpin and wheel bearings
Removed bullbar
Steering wheel
Next I want some mud tyres...it did ok on the AT's but they are its achilles heel. My wife doesn't get it "but it's just had 4 new tyres" but it's like giving a olympic sprinter ice skates they just arent the right footwear!

Looks good. How good are the swivel seals?
A few people buy All Terrains to then want Mud Terrains. You are not the first and won't be the last. Sell them on to recoup some of the money back.

Cheers
Seals seem good, really nice tight fit and no cuts in the flexible part to allow water in (am paranoid about water ingress now haha)
AT's were fitted just before my ownership...ordering insa turbo-ish tyres next week going 215 75 15 for a bit more beef ready for the weekends pay and play
Also since writing this I removed all the old vacuum hosing from front hubs and looped some new hose between the nipples (hehehe) to stop water leaking in and again at the other end of the system which should stop the 4wd light flashing as it hunts for vacuum (now manual lockers)

Nice. I still get the "Why do you want new tyres, you've only just got those? " a lot too, even though I haven't changed mine in 3 years!

Martin
2003 M13 early KAP build.
3" Trailmaster lift with 1.5 Spacers on front
Customised winch bumper and roll cage
235/85R16 Maxxis Bighorns on 16" Rims, 4:1 Rocklobster, Rear ARB locker and on-board air
Corrected arms all-round, rear disks, Recaro seats and harnesses
Looking at the advert for those seals, it says that the seal is pliable enough to stretch over the ball so avoiding the need to cut it. Well the standard Suzuki one is also pliable enough to stretch over the ball, I have never had to cut one, The most interesting part to me is that you can replace just the rubber part once its worn

I'm a simple man I saw 'better' and 'cheaper' and took a risk...those things dont usually combine but in this case the uprated halfshafts, cvs and seals etc were nearly 300 quid cheaper overall than oem!

I wouldnt get your hopes up too much about a water seal being achieved with the trailgear swivel seals, i have had them on for around a year now and they dont stop water getting in there! Agreed they are much tougher than the standard ones, but by no means a total seal.
As I too use manual hubs I decided to try packing the CV much tighter with the blue grease last time it was in bits. The low quantity of grease just gives the water somewhere to go in my eyes. time will tell if its any better lasting.

Pay and play tomorrow woop woop
Tyres are on (went for 205 75 15 in the end)
Side repeater cages are on as its crazy forest there which claws at the car...
Found a way to leave the recovery bridle attached as last time we got stuck then had to scoop all the goo away with our hands to clip it on! Grim!

Cleaned her up and fitted the headlamp protectors / angry eyes today! Still just about cleans up ok but getting a new battle scar every time (not that I mind!)
Amazing how much clay bakes along the exhaust and wedges it in the nooks and crannies...no point just sponging rigs off after off roading you gotta fully get involved! You need m/t's for my driveway now haha...
