A couple of pictures from the first leg of my Journey to the Norwegian suzuki meet next weekend. I took the scenic route.. Left home at one o clock and when I bunked at around ten I think I had climbed more than 3000 meters passing 3-4 mountain passes. Clutch smelly at times. Found a spot to sleep at the last overpass at 1300m. Next days drive started with a 45 km stretch of gravel road. Beautiful even with clouds and fog.

If it weren't for your horror stories about the Norwegian cost of living and scarcity of Jimny I could see me living there! So beautiful.

I worked in Norway for two years, and never, ever wanted to leave...been back once since...the cost of living is, indeed, prohibitive

Cost of living is not so bad when we get the wages to go with it. And allthough we pay some tax we get benefits as well. Like getting paid when laid off and paid vacation. 5 weeks on me this year.
But there is also a cost with the scenery like expensive roads. Not the easiest place to make them and tunneling thru is cheaper now so these mountain roads is not getting so much maintenance and no more will be built.
Will take more pictures on my return, hoping for better weather.
