Little Ooky ... Watersports !

Just putting some old pix from the various memory cards in my camera bag into some order.

A few people ask about the Jimny's ability to go though water, so here are a few Pix. Not in any particular order, but all done with a 2" suspension lift and 215x80rx15 tyres.

Im new to this so forgive me, is there any other mods needed to wade like that? Or are there any special tecniques to doing it? Can it not ruin anything?

No Seriously... I have a snorkle fitted (essential is you want to go deeper than the headlights!)

and that is about it.

It is advisable to fit Axel / Gearbox breathers but when I did this, they were not fitted.
As for technique ... I always ford in 4 Low, not too fast.. ok, at places where I have suitable recovery and want to show off I have blasted though but that is not really "Good Technique!"

Keey your revs constant and if it does stall ... DONOT attempt to restart.

The jimny is generally a watertight little beastie ... not like landrovers that are designed to let water in and out.
This is handy when fording dirty smelly stagnant water as my friends will testify after they had to jetwash the interior to remove the mud.

Not at all... have actually had it come in through the join in the rear door seal. Footwells remain dry
