Has anyone had overheating problems that have not been caused by a choked radiator? I have found at a point to point/orienteering meeting and on Saturday during a drive through a local forrest that my temp guage goes right up and the engine bay heats up to a point where I nearly burnt my fingers on the bonnet stay!I was just driving up and down some steep hills in low box, when I stalled the engine wouldn't restart till I left the bonnet open to let it cool down. There are no leaks, no water/oil contamination and no mud in the radiator. I have taken the rubber strip off the top of the bulkhead at the trailing edge of the bonnet as there was no obvious vent for the hot air but this doesn't seem to have made much difference, any ideas??
