Gen 3 Australian Chassis / Crumple Zone Questions

We are making a Hidden Winch Mounting plate for the Jimny 3 - and we're based in South Africa. But - Jimny 3s came out in a few different versions, and there are two common chassis styles (plus a couple of rare versions). The very front of the chassis, behind the bumper, is where our Hidden Winch Mount is installed. BUT it’s hard to determine which chassis goes with which model in different regions.

Question: We have a client in Australia who has a 2015 facelift Jimny 3, but the VIN number indicates that the chassis looks like the pre-facelift one in South Africa. SO what chassis styles exist for the Jimny 3 in Australia? Is it the same as South Africa?
  • The pre-facelift Jimny (1998-2011) has a closed box section chassis and the ‘cross’ style plate on the front in South Africa

  • The other chassis style that we have in South Africa on the facelift Jimny 3s is actually an open box crumple zone, both sides open to the right of the vehicle.

If it's any help I can take my 2018 uk spec bumper off on Sunday and send you some pictures but from memory it's very different to that picture.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.
