Hey guys so had this prop off while taking the gear box out and was a good time to inspect. Now I need to either replace the prop or look at replacing the ujs.
now mine would
have the staked uj joints. Has anyone on here repaired them with normal ujs and bought a kit where the c clip goes at the bottom of the cup? A part number would be amazing. Not sure how much these props are to replace new.

thanks Steve

Staking is a cheap way to assemble a propshaft and the repair is outside the abilities of your normal workshop and that includes your main dealers. Saying that there are companies that specialise in this sort of work but the only one I know of is in the UK.

I rang chorley prop shafts and they wants £110 plus vat per joint. Over priced if you ask me

I don't think £110 is bad. Got to pay the man, pay for parts, premises, tools and heating. Staked UJs are not fun
