Hi fellow Jimny Owners! I have a two month old JB74 with 5k miles and recently I noticed a metal whine noise during lift off from 4000 rpms and up especially on 3rd and 4th gears and also is most noticeable going uphill.
My Jimny since day one have had the transfer noise when pulling on first gear and my dealer on Ecuador said it is normal.
Also I don't know if it's related but on 2nd gear between 2.5k and 3k RPM on load the transfer lever vibrates and rattles.
I have been scratching my head and I need a little help.
