Will Wheels Designed for Newer Jimnys Fit a 1997? was created by FSEngine
I have been looking for new wheels for my 1997 JA22W and know that they have a PCD of 5/139.7 (or 5/5.5). The new wheels I see have same PCD, specifically 16x5.5J 5/139.7 and have JB74 and JB43 in the title (
Auction page
). I am located on Guam and have to ship the wheels here, none of the local shops I went to have a correct PCD or not in bronze. Does anyone know if they will fit? Thanks in advance.

The wheels are identical on all SJ's and Jimny's.
e.g. the steel wheels on the Gen 4 Jimny are exactly the same as the SJ410 wheels that I have.

I'll put it this way - OEM wheels for The JB74 & JB43 should fit a JA22W just fine, but, the rim size you're mentioning, specifically a 16x5.5J is NOT the OEM size.
OEM size is a 15x5.5J with a 5x5.5 PCD and an ET of 5

I wasn't looking for OEM wheels. The ones I'm looking at are aftermarket bronze wheels.

I never said you were - my point is that OEM wheels will fit just fine - if YOU choose to use an aftermarket wheel, YOU need to confirm that it will do what YOU need.
In a nutshell, you have provided the PCD bolt pattern, the rim width & diameter - but those are not the only specifications you need to consider - offset has to be taken into account.

I see, sorry if I came off as a A-hole, and thank you for the advise on offset. I'm going to be putting a 4" suspension lift on it before I install the wheels. The wheels I'm looking at are minus 5.

I believe -5 is the offset of the OEM rims, so you should be fine with those rims, as long as you don't go overboard on the tire size.
Regarding that suspension lift - a four inch lift sounds quite extreme. If the JA22W uses the same (or a similar) coil spring setup as the JB43 & JB74, you'll probably need some sort of caster compensation so it might be an idea to make sure the kit includes it.

Can someone confirm if the data in the wiki about Jimny wheel offsets is correct:
www.bigjimny.com/mediawiki/index.php/Tyr..._wheel_specification
It currently states ET22 for Jimny 3 steel and alloy OEM wheels, but ET5 for Jimny 4 steel and alloy wheels.
Correct or not?
What should be written there?
