Upgrade intake manifold was created by Cparky
Hello, I was wondering since I’m installing a 1.6 non vvt from a liana can I upgrade the inlet manifold from a Suzuki swift without touching the ecu ?  Thanks

I haven't done it myself so only know what is reported here but there does seem to be a fair bit of latitude in the Jimny ecu for such things but the real increases are on stand alone setups especially if you are wanting to going further in the future like itb's or forced induction.

Have a look at an inlet manifold from a swift.....mostly the throttle body position.

It'd be a tricky mod.....unless you want to run the air intake through the bulkhead?

Swift inlet manifold is pointing the wrong direction as Keithy says. It is also a drive-by-wire throttle body so no help with a Jimny.

The liana throttle body has a (very slightly) larger opening, but as Lambert says... its never going to be amazing with the limitations of the standard ECU. Good servicing and an italian tune up are about the best your going to get without big spends for ITBs or forced induction setups.
