Thanks again for the help on removing the rear seats on my 67 plate Jimny :) I have purchase a sheet of 3/4 inch ply, are there any pics on the site withshowing this installed in the back of a Jimny and rough dimensions please ?

Haven't got the dimensions but I just measured the width and length, then made a card template for the curved corners near the tailgate. Used jigsaw to cut out 9mm ply, then covered with carpet. Put some button head bolts through the old seat mounting points to secured it down.

Mine is older but assume it's a similar set up.

From years of experience with building vintage car interiors which were lined in plywood (then covered in leather or vinyl - orginally rexine) I would urge you to choose Birch plywood.
Birch plywood usually has a higher number of laminations is stronger, and less likely to delaminate with time.
