Jimny with portal axles! Done in Russia! was created by Bosanek
By wandering through the Internet, I found a Russian blogger who installed portal axles to his Jimny.
Here are his blog posts:

malykh.blogspot.ba/2013/10/blog-post_19.html
malykh.blogspot.ba/2015/03/blog-post_30.html
malykh.blogspot.ba/2013/10/blog-post_4368.html
Chronology of his works on portal axles:

Pictures of his Jimny with portal axles:

P.S.: After I stumbled on that Russian guy's blog this morning, I browsed through a LOT of his posts about fiddling with his Jimny. The guy has done some DEEP works and mods to his car, and wrote a lot of technical details about parts, and also a lot of original and aftermarket part numbers. He is definitely an emeritus for the Jimny.

A quick flick through the blogs shows that he had numerous failures and has now removed them.
Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

There's a French company doing off-the-shelf portals for Jimnys, sure you'll find it with a quick Google search
