Does anyone have a standard Jimny Starter to hand (OEM).
I need the model / serial numbers off a starter off a DOHC engine to give to the Plebs who now believe they have sent me an SJ starter by mistake

I have one somewhere in the garage, I will take a look. I will also try to find a high resolution version of this picture I took of the two known types to fit a Jimny

The slightly longer one in the picture (the one fitted to Japanese DOHC engines) is 31100-80G10
The smaller Spanish one is 31100-63J00, this also fits (its on my car now)
Better picture is HERE

Ive gone and bought a second one too, that way Ill have a brand new spare ... its been 3 weeks now without a car (My car lease ran out, and has gone back, the TVR blew its head gaskets up the M5 last week and is out of action, and Kerry's Golf has gone into VW for a service and suspected Turbo failure.. Ive gone from 4 days to None in less than 2 weeks and its starting to cost me a fortune on hire cars !!
