Transfer Box Rubber Mounts

Dear All,

Just a quickie to share with you.

Went to fit my heavy duty KAP transfer box mounts yesterday but one of the bolts for one of the rubber mounts would not shift due to rust. No amount of WD40 would persuade it to behave and it sheared.

So I got a new mount from the main dealers and the part number should you need the same is 29610-81A20. Don't know if you want to add that to your parts list on the web site Martin?

Then when I got the part it did not come with the nut that had sheared off with the bolt and they could not supply it easily!

So I'm about to take a trip to the local fasteners to get some nice stainless nylock nuts to suit the thread, which no one else can match!

So if you are tackling this simple job, be prepared for a 10 minute job to turn into a several hour job!

It may pay to buy a new mount and get the thread matched with new nuts from a fasteners before doing the job, and spray with WD40 several days running before doing the job!

Hope this saves someone some messing about.

Kirky
