Good morning,
Im thinking of fixing this by repaint the soft top or by some treatment. However I dont know the material for a start. Its quite thick and a bit elastic so some kind of plastic i guess. Could vinyl paint work? The car is a gen3 DDIS
My best

The white stuff running off is most likely oxidation from the Vinyl. I would think that treating it with a product for Vinyl and Plastics would fix it. There are several products for garden furniture and also for car detailing that would do the trick. The stuff from TEMU in the ads is most likely rubbish.
Even Biltema got a product Art.nr. 36-607 I have no experience with it just found it now. most of these will make it shiny but some will last until the next rainfall and some will last a year.

Vinyl do not go so well with UV rays from the sun and not sure how far north in Sweden you live but during summers the sun almost never sets in the northern half? so we get the most of this detoriation.

I would not paint it. it will fade and flake off eventually and look just as bad or much worse than to begin with i guess.
