Hi - on the insurance I'm paying around £320 per year for my 2023 LCV. I'm with Brightside insurance.

Yes the winter and snow some parts of the country had this week will push up Jimnys slightly as they become more desirable.

You are right about the weather pushing up prices, there is an SZ5 near me, it was £22k about 5 weeks ago, it’s £25.5k now.
I actually thought it would have been down to £20k towards Xmas as thought the garage would want to move it on.
Mind there are still some silly prices for secondhand LCV on Autotrader, especially when you can get one new for slightly below list.

I'm also seeing alot more appear on Instagram as boy racers/performance car guys buy old Gen 3s as winter hacks. They use them for a bit, take them offroad and then in the spring sell them on so they can go back to their performance/ summer cars.

It's Mrs Mike that drives it and reports that she finds it fantastic except on faster roads. `Experience has shown that trying to persuade her that she is wrong needs to be done with some care!
