How will you attach to the vehicle? If making a plate, why not fit a cheap electric winch of the same capacity?

I have toyed with the idea of a portable winch (Superwinch 'Winch in a Bag') but then realised that in nearly 3 years of Jimny ownership I have only had to think about using one once, then there wasn't anything I could have attached a winch to (no trees), so it probably wouldn't have worked.

Probably better to go out with a mate and take a tow rope, unless you intend to go on something more extreme in which case 2250kg is probably not going to be enough to break you free.
