I've got one from my landrover days and it's the tallest one you could get .
It's too heavy and awkward to mount on my jimny so I carry it in my trailer. To lift your jimny your going to either make jacking points or use a strap and hook to lift the wheel through the spokes. Don't be surprised if after all that you never use it cos its hard to get a jimny stuck. To be honest a decent entrenching shovel (ex mod) preferable would be a better buy and easier to store/mount on you 4x4. Rescued me self a few time with a shovel and would you belive a rachet strap.
Simplicity and some experience and some YouTube (now a days) is a good teacher.

As Dirtbird says, a hilift isn't ideal for a stock Jimny. If I didn't have my added jacking points I wouldn't bother carrying one.

I have a hi-lift 48 inch model. I have never once used it to lift a Jimny in 15 years. I have used it to jack columns up to fix my lambing shed roof, to lift tractors for wheel changes and occasionally I have used it to winch out fallen trees. It's definitely useful but it's almost equally dangerous and heavy so I don't keep it with me constantly.

They are most commonly used for decoration. There is nowhere you can use one on a standard Jimny. A small bottle jack and a block of wood is more useful.
