l fitted a Suzuki tow bar to our 2020 Jimny but still haven't got around to installing the wiring harness.

l asked the guy who came round to fit the 13 pin towing socket to the Defender but he said he "hadn't done one before" which didn't inspire confidence. Although he did a great job on the Defender.

Has anyone on here fitted the Gen 4 tow bar wiring harness, and is it relatively easy? There's no instructions with the (second hand) harness that l bought from a member on here.

l've got some drive on ramps so can get the back or front of the Jimny up in the air. to make access easier.
Does the wiring harness go along the chassis, or inside the vehicle?

Not sure as I have only done gen3 ones but isn't the 4 a simple plug in job?

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

I'm sure I have read it is a plug and play type of arrangement. Does it come with connector plugs on the end of the loom?

Hi, I fitted a towbar and electrics recently.  Bumper has to come off to fit towbar and connect rear lights. Wiring has to go inside to the front passenger side where it plugs into to the fuse box so all the trim has to come out on passenger side. (Good excuse to fit rear speakers while it’s all part and squirt some wax oil/dinitroll into the chassis rails etc.
Not to hard to do but takes a bit of time.

Have alook at this:

...forgot to say, I also fitted a brighter LED reverse light bulb while the bumper was off.
