Also interested in following this exhaust thread.
Our back box is almost completely rotted, its slowly delaminating away from the side of the rear box. I guess years of saly and water immersion has helped it on its way too.

I was thinking of getting a stainless one made up, and at the same time have the CAT removed. Will probably change the route the exhaust takes a little but try to keep it raised as much as possible to avoid damage.

My TVR has a 3" stainless system fitted and this is routed below the diff hanger. the result is less than 3" ground clearance so the one round pipe is now a kind of squashed oval so I learnt the hard way !

Cut the back box off, also took rear pipe off and welded side exit pipe, which exits front of rear wheel, this made a big difference. Took out cat last week and tested this at the weekend this also made a small difference, sent a picture to Martin today, will send more later.
