I have just got a nice o2 54 reg and wondering about upgrades to lights and cooling. I want to keep it as standard as possible thanks, sure there will be other questions actually it’s done 36k cambelt and water pump? Looks easy enough anything I should be aware of, it not the M13 engine

There's no cam belt on the M13 engine, it's a timing chain. Perhaps it was Water pump and the aux belts? You can change the water pump yourself and all the aux belts in an afternoon. It's easier to drop the radiator out to change the belts I think, you can have a fresh coolant swap at the same time. I don't have double jointed hands to swap belts with the fan and cowling in situ.
The standard radiator is good enough. They manage the Austrian heat fine so no need to upgrade in the UK.

As for lights I fitted Osram Nightbreakers, they made the headlights super powerful, actually I thought the standard bulbs were okay, but the Nightbreakers are just so much better. I also changed the side lights and interior lights to LED, the side lights look really good in LED, nice and crisp with just a hint of blue. All the bulbs are very easy to change.
In addition I fitted a LED light in the rear boot area and wired it in to the internal lights, I hated having to use a torch when trying to find something in the small boot area.
Rust is probably the main thing to look for, Jimny's seem prone, so have a good look underneath and if it is okay, get it under-sealed.

My water pump and AC belts both came off my 2011 Jimny about 1 year after I took ownership, the problem was the crankshaft pully was worn out, the rubber goes in the middle and then it runs out of alignment. It happened at home, so I didn't boil the engine and changing it was easy enough.I have just got a nice o2 54 reg and wondering about upgrades to lights and cooling. If it is an o2 then it will be convertible? with the g13 motor so a cam belt would be a good idea. As for modifications have you considered a hard top?
