Hi guys,
I am about to install a reversing camera on a Gen4 Left-Hand Drive Gen4.  The installation instructions stipulate that once I have removed all the interior panels on the left hand side, I must then remove the dashboard before removing the multimedia unit to plug the wires into that.

Now, I am a bit reluctant to remove the dashboard, for obvious reasons. Therefore the question is whether somebody has threaded the wires up the right hand side instead, and then only removed the glovebox to thread the wires to the multimedia unit, or is that impossible (are the wires too short, perhaps)?

Would greatly appreciate your input on this.
thanks,
Ollie

I don't think the wire will be long enough to do it that way as the wire passes through a grommet in the boot floor on the left side.
