Hi
I recently changed the rear diff and gearbox oils on my 2001 Jimny. The rear diff took 1.3 litres as expected. The gear box took 1.4 litres, not the expected 1.1 litres, also the quantity drained out was 1.4 litres. Have I overfilled it? Was it previously overfilled?
Bottom line is should I drain off 300ml?
Many thanks for any advice.

Says 1,1 for your car in the wiki.
Was the car level when you filled it? I see the VVT manual is 1,3 liters.

It shouldn't make a big problem. More serious over filling could cause overheating in the gearbox and lead to reduced bearing life

If it's level with the level plug then it's fine.
