But nice and narrow 36s so less butchering is necessary. Not that I have thought this through. Much.

Ultimate Adventure entry requirements are 35"+ tyres

Whats the beardy bloke in the battered SJ called? he did fairly well from memory :-)

Ring & pinion gearing will be the more reliable method of achieving huge tyres (excepting the poor R&P, diff & shafts), but even then the wheel offset will need to be massive. Expect turning circle and fuel consumption to be equally massive

Does the white one pictured have axles from a Lard-rover or other wider track & heavier vehicles? ~ some unimog portal axles would be good

J999 MNY, ULYSSES M18 VVT with ITB's Dyno tested at 130hp

Pickup/tipper, R7me gearbox & 6.4 Rocklobster, 31" Toyo MT, 2x ARB air locker 3.9 diffs in braced axles, 6" total lift, Floating rear conversion, Raptor painted, CB, Recaro's, Caged, etc, etc...

Tim Hardy. He's a legend. Loads of cool innovations like using a forklift planetary gearset on the transfer box prop for massive gear reduction, and I think he was one of the first to do a "virtual lift". He also has self-clearancing sills. I.e. the more dents they get from hitting stuff, the more clearance he gains. One year he did the whole thing with a trailer on.
