Just posting some pics of our DIY glovebox, which fit just nicely in the space on the passenger side (Gen 3). I have made 3 of these now and they've been really useful. I used a either a GHD box lid or bottom for mine, but anything of similar size would probably work, just needed trimming at an angle to fit. I can get the measurements if anyone can't get the above empty box.
