ENGINE OIL LEAK

ENGINE OIL LEAK was created by RogersJimmy
2001 model Jimny.

Today I noticed an oil leak from the rear end of the engine which appears to come from towards the top, and has covered the back of the crankcase and the gearbox.
It looks as if it might be from the aluminium rocker cover. It looks easy to replace the gasket here, but I wondered if this is a common thing and if I should be looking elsewhere as well.
All advice gratefully received - thank you.

I've read a few posts about the cam cover gasket leaking.

Reporting back!

I have changed the cam cover gasket for a new one and used Red Hermetite for good measure. Fingers crossed, all ok so far.
