For some reason the old man stuck bits of gaffer tape on various bits of the interior of my Jimny most of which seem to serve no purpose. Thing is this was 5 and a half years ago and now some of the tape is peeling and looks a very sore sight. If i pull it it leaves an even more unappealing white sticky mess behind. How might i get it off and not do any further damage to the trim it is stuck to? Cheers for any input.

WD40 and a piece of soft rag. Spray on and rub with the rag.

It's been fettled just a tad.

I have used this on a multitude of things quite good as it's like a gel so it doesn't make to much of a mess and doesn't drop either got it from halfrauds :)

Cheers, will look at the gel stuff, though I am not that much of a fan of wd40 it tries to be too many things and never seems quite as good as it could be.

Agree - Isopropanol, Isopropyl alcohol, or IPA. About £18 for 5 litres and does loads of jobs. It doesn't take off cellulose paint either. (But try a hidden area to check first!) Also VERY flammable.

Lighter fluid works great, just don't smoke when you are using it. :-)

Transwarp overspeed correction. Twin hay bales. Kingpin autofix option with partial magnetic death wobble suppression thingy. Full set of chocolate sockets. Reisher’s stiffy riding shotgun. Several wee holes to let the rainwater in. Lucy in the sky with diamonds.
