double din radio trim for later Jimnys?? was created by gilburton
No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationJust came across this.
I've no idea if it will convert a "standard" double din aperture to the Jimny size but if it does it's a lot cheaper than the full console swap and will possibly allow a range of cheaper dvd/sat nav units to be fitted than the current limited selection??
I'm not in to radio stuff but if anyone has any comments I'm sure it will help some people?
I know it's Hong Kong but I've never seen another like it and with free postage and POSSIBLY customs it's still a cheap solution!

When I replaced my standard kit (as in the pic) I needed a new front panel and squared off trim like the one in the pic.
The original front trim has rounded corners, the replacement is squared off.
Original does not work with new Pioneer unit.

Hi ZZ, so you bought a whole new centre panel which featured right angle corners, not curved corners as shown in my trim below ?
bet that wasn't cheap :pinch:

I'd like to see some pics from anyone who has fitted an aftermarket double din radio or dvd/sat nav unit.
I've often wondered instead of cutting the original dash to allow the new unit to sit flush could it not be left sitting proud of the dash and some sort of trim from another car used to make it neat?
Just an idea as the kit required to try it is too expensive to get it wrong

Yep, sure did. it was about 80 quid for front panel, mounting kit and extra piece of wiring loom.
