Well, I wanted just the rim covered but I have had so many cracked/perished spares that I decided to cover up completely. I could have got a hard rim cover and sprayed it gold I guess but they cost a fortune and I didn't think much of wheel trims.
I was going to make a plywood one and coat it with yacht varnish which is golden coloured.

That's all some of the sunscreens are basically and they make a good tint effect.
