You only have to look at the plebgate affair to draw a conclusion but I bet they have been called a lot worse than that and brushed it off.

+3" Jimnybits springs, ES1000 shocks, JB castor corrected radiis arms, adjustable panhard rods, , 215/75/15 BFG A/Ts, ORA front recovery points, TowTrust towbar, 32mm spacers, Superwinch 9500, and she's blue, the best colour!

I have family in the job, (not traffic though), and it's really not up to them what happens after they have filled out the paperwork, It's usually down to some jobsworth in the CPS / back office.
Also, every force has it's own guidelines so one force may be limit plus 10% (33 in a 30), the next force could be limit plus 10% plus 5mph (38 in a 30). There is no consistency across the country, making the system even more unfair.
General advice from someone in the know is turn radio off, don't get out of the vehicle as they approach, wind down the window, be polite, apologise, dont argue and take what you get with a smile and a thankyou - you will get the best outcome you can possibly expect.
But it dont always work as they are only human and may have had a bad day or need another collar to keep the numbers up!
Plus if you really were being stupid and / or dangerous then bear in mind you probably deserve everything you get!

The ORA Rear Spring Clamps, ordered Monday evening, received today around 14 h. pm !
Excellent service from ORA ! THANK's !
Did degreased them, sprayed some primer/anti rust on them, and after 2 h. did laqued them in black.
Later on i will get them cleaned and properly powdercoated.
very nice..... i just used jubilee clips (pikey)
Darth and chance of a photo as a cheap fix for my springs for now?

Yes, you can do it like this also... but personally i prefer also to invest i my safety and also my co-drivers.
And i feel much safer with these 18 £ pieces.
Our rear spring clamp kit will keep you coil springs well and truely attached to there saddles. With long travel suspension setups the rear coil springs can be a problem, and under some circumstances come out of the bottom saddle causing problems. Our kit elliminates this risk totally.
Gold zinc pacified for better protection from the elements!
This kit contains 2 spring clamps.
