It's only a bit of fun, you are right about COG being important.
The problem for us suziQ drivers is that the green oval brigade et al are obsessed with 35-37 inch bogger tyres which leaves us grounded on the centre!
I have had to go to 31's as a min to open up other areas to drive.
To fit 31 with out restricting clearance and articulation I have lifted by 5".
Now a tall jimny ain't everyones cup of tea I know.
But i am loving mine.

I'll measure mine later but I refuse to buy bigger than the 215/80/15's I've just bought and would prefer to show what a Zuk can do with that than spend more money improving what's a good truck already to try to compete with challenge spec 90's.
Anyway, much higher and it won't fit in my garage or have room to be jacked up in there in the winter months when I can't work on it outside.
You have to think about the cog thing but you also have to drive it within its limits on and off the road. The cog thing is as important on the road. Remember the elk test?
