Jimny 2013 Automatic Clutch Burnt Smell at Gear 3 Uphill
I have a Jimny 2013 automatic trans. that I drove today uphill. When I sensed that the car is struggling in "D" uphill, I put it on "3". At 3,000 rpm, I noticed or smelt something like a burnt clutch. Need your insights on what might be the problem.
First off you need to dip the transmission with the red dipstick and examine the colour and consistency and smell of the transmission fluid. Redish colour and smooth between the fingers is good. Brownish colour or gritty or sparkly and smelling like toast are all problems.
