Yes you will need an amp, it also states compatible amps are available from the seller.

I had a 10* VIBE sub in my first car but gonna keep my Jimny with just normal speakers I think. With the head unit set up properly the 10cm uprated Type E Alpines that I have sound great. Although I did love my sub for adding some depth to the music.
I've seen these style of speakers before but not this cheap. Ive seen VIBE produce under seat speakers as part of their 'Slick' range I think and I cant recommend their products highly enough, they are awesome.

Yeah, i wasnt originally going to change my speakers .. but i got some free with my Kenwood CD player, so i figured i might as well.. only to find they weren't nearly as 'bassy'.
So i bought a cheap little sub.. then an amp.
Does anyone know if i can wire my other speakers into the amp as well..?
if so.. will it improve sound at all?

It's all what wattage your goin to use for your sub. what channels yer amp has. If it only has single out for your sub then wouldn't suggest it. Even if you have multi channels you don't want to push your amp to hard to cause it to overheat and damage it. What is your speaker rated?

The VIBE sub I had was in an enclosure with a built in amp so no hassle with finding suitable amp and sub combinations! Reason why I got it really, and it was a dead bargain from a mate. Can be a bit of hassle get all the kit to work at first but once its all connected and working properly its great

so then why would ya want to connect other speakers to the amp box combo? The amp was designed for the box now if yer just wanting to upgrade the speakers is different. or am I off in left field?

Thanks for all your help. I literally have no idea what i've bought - i just figured it would be a plug and play situation.
However.. The 'underseat sub' doesn't fit under my seat.
So it's up for sale at £45- or less. or maybe a swap..? or part exchange.
Here are all the details..
