Hoping I can still make it. Recently I had an accident and my knee collapsed resulting in a severed tendon and broken knee cap.

I’ve had surgery but my leg is in a brace currently and I can’t drive. Can’t even sit in a car seat at the moment due to keeping my leg straight. But hoping I’ll be in better state when the brace gets adjusted next week. But I’ll have to wait and see if I’ll be fit enough to passenger for the event.

Really hoping not to miss this as I’ve just missed out on a weeks laning trip to Wales and missed competing at the Land Rover National (where the accident happened).

Ouch! Get well soon.

In other news I have looked at the 2 week weather and it is supposedly a wet fortnight but dry on the Sunday. How accurate that is remains to be seen.

Here’s hoping, although 2 years ago it was a tad on the hot side at Tong.

4 years ago I severed my Achilles tendon so I know what the brace is all about. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and keep up with the exercises!

Just seen the headline, 148 vehicles, well done Martin & James, fantastic effort and it will be great to see them all there. Best to get a new wide angle lens to get them all in for the group photo.

Yep should make quite the picture. Emails have gone out to everyone who booked with some more details of the day. Packs will be given out on the day this year or the evening before to the Jimnys camping or at tong park opposite.

Really looking forward to it.

Of course it wasnt just myself and James (social media expert)  but others behind the scenes such as Lambert of this parish and other volunteers that have come forward that have got us to this fantastic point, now we just have to make it happen!

Thanks Martin, I know only too well there is a small army of people behind the scenes to make an event like this happen, so well done everyone, what an event it’s going to be, especially as Lambert’s long range weather forecast might be right for some warm sunny weather.

Well that's it for another meet. We are back home, the car is washed down and we are going through the pictures.

Thanks to everyone who marshalled the event, the help was valuable.

We have around loads of pictures to sort so they will be uploading gradually and then we have video as well.
